CEREC is an incredible technology for you as the patient, and for Dr. Stanton as the dentist. Have you ever had conventional dental impressions taken? You likely won’t forget the experience. The process can be uncomfortable and lengthy. Because CEREC is an entirely digital system, we no longer need to use messy impression material to “take a measurement” of the crown, and temporary crowns are thing of the past as we finish the restoration in the same day.

A crown, also called a cap, is defined as an indirect (made outside the mouth) restoration that replaces the major part of a tooth. Before we became known as the premier cosmetic practice in the area, we would get asked "Do you perform cosmetic dentistry?" which is a tough question to answer because if you say "No" then are you an UNcosmetic dentist? The fact is that ALL restorative dentistry is cosmetic in that even when you are doing a white filling in the middle of someone's molar, your goal should be to mimic nature to the best of your ability. Obviously the closer you get to the front of the mouth, the more important it becomes to be able to mimic nature so the dentistry blends in with its surroundings.
